How to Correct Beneficiary Account for Failed BiMS/SPARK/TSB/LSGD Payments

💡 BiMS/SPARK/TSB/LSGD Payment Beneficiary Account Correction

If an account number or IFSC error causes a payment to be returned, account correction must be completed within 30 days of bill approval. After this period, the amount is credited back to the Parent Budget Head. New bill submission will only be possible after new allotment is received.

🔎 Check Payment Status First:
BiMS - DDO Admin → Left Side Tab → Bills → Reconciliation → Select SPARK/BiMS/LSGD tab → Enter e-submit date → Click "View" → Click 💳 icon in "Credit Status" column to check.

🔁 Correction Procedures by Type:

1) BiMS Bill:

  • BiMS Clerk (DDO login): Beneficiary Account → Beneficiary Account Correction → Edit Account Number & IFSC
  • BiMS Officer (DDO Admin): Beneficiary Account → Approval

2) TSB Cheque via BiMS:

  • BiMS Clerk: TSB → TSB Account Correction → Edit Account Number / IFSC
  • BiMS Officer: TSB → Account Correction Confirmation

3) SPARK Bill for Permanent Employees:

  • BiMS Officer: ETSB → Rejection/Return → Select "ETSB Beneficiary Rejection"

4) SPARK Bill for Temporary Employees:

  • Edit bank details via: Accounts → Employees with Spark ID → Edit Details (DO NOT change name/DOB or verify Aadhaar)
  • Then: Accounts → Bank Account Correction → Select Contingent Bill → Enter 8-digit Bill No → Update

5) TSB Online Transfer Error:

  • Use “Return A/C Correction” menu within TSB Online itself

6) Retired Employees (SPARK):

  • Salary Matters → Processing → Arrear → Salary Arrear → Salary Arrear - Retired → Edit Present Salary (update bank details)
  • Then: Accounts → Bank Account Correction → Select Pay Bill → Enter 8-digit Bill No → Update

After correction, recheck Payment Status to confirm whether the payment was successfully credited.
